Hi!

We use fetchmail from a script with these options:

        fetchmail -v -a -n -d 0 -N

While it is running a series of asterisks are displayed showing that the
mail is being downloaded. However, this is not proportional to the size
of the mail and hence I have no idea how much of the file is downloaded.

I have seen another Linux system, also using sendmail/fetchmail which
shows a dot character for each kb of mail downloaded. Can any one
help me with the set up so that it shows one dot corresponding to one
kb downloaded?

Vasanth
