iBCS is the Intel Binary Compatibility Standard. It is a binary file
format (like a.out or ELF), designed for binary compatibility among
Unixen. The essence of the iBCS module is that you get to run binaries
from SCO Unix on Linux. AFAICT, it is used mainly by COBOL and Oracle
users/programmers.

You should run the iBCS enabled kernel to use it. For RedHat, it is the
kernel-ibcs RPM, part of the standard RedHat distribution.
