Sure they would - but I wish you joy with that via-rhine card. We had a hell
of our time with our firewall (which had one of those things) - and the
problem went away when we changed to eepro100. At least for the servers /
linux boxes, plz consider using other cards (rtl8139 is quite good)

Tell you what - does /etc/yp.conf exist? And what's the output of 'locate
yp'? Most of the paths are likely to be screwed up.
