Hi All!

I have a problem with the harddisk, when I wanted to
install RedHat 6.2 (pcq) onto a 4.3 GB hdd (Linux
 ext2-fs : 3.3 GB, Win 95 : 1 GB).

The installation went on fine. But when I try on the
rescue mode find bad sectors on the disk, if any, I
encounter the following problem. When I run e2fsck on
the partitions (there are two partitions hda2 and 5) I
 get the message :

/tmp/hda5: clean, 50015/384000 files, 188015/767080
 blocks

/tmp/hda2: clean, 24/5040 files, 3109/20160 blocks

But when I mount the file system, I get the follwoing
count when I do a df:

total 1-k blocks : /dev/hda5 3020080
                   /dev/hda2 19519

Why the numbers are not matching. Which blcok number should I use when I do a
`badbloks'? Does my harddisk contain bad sectors?

I shall highly appreciate if anybosy of you guys help
me out. It's quite urgent as I'm afraid that the
system will crash sooner or later!

Madhurjya
