Neeraj:
a) You are right about "samba" -- a file server for windows pc connecting to
a linux server.
b) There are two streams of the samba development (samba and samba TNG);
please visit their website www.samba.org and learn more.
c) In your situation you can simply run the latest stable version samba 2.0.7
on your linux server; the windows people will not know any difference at all.
Please ensure you read up the smb.conf file and man pages thoroughly so that
you configure your linux box properly.
