Hi,
Use partition manually & use fdisk  during install.
print with p will show you how many cylinders each partition
has taken.

A better idea of bypassing the trouble is---
Create the primary partn inside 6Gb( or less).
Then create partns DEF... as you like
as logical drives in the extended partn.(D 2Gb approx or
more depending on the space you'd like to keep for Linux),

~~>Then delete partn D<~~(keep the others unchanged).
This will leave unpartitioned space inside 1024 cylinders
for lilo and others.
 ~~~Proceed to Install...
