Hi
Linux doc suggests that one shld have /var , /boot, /tmp, /usr , /home in as
separate partitions .(Considering the fact that i am setting up a mailserver
and proxy server on 10 gb hdd)

Kindly explain :what does /usr contain
/usr :"This is where most executable binaries go. In addition, the kernel
source tree goes here, and much documentation"

If i have 4000 mail users how big should be my /var .?
How to calculate size for /usr ?and what is /usr/home?Should it also be in
separate partition?
