Hi shridhar,
what kind of a filter are you using. In any case go through the filter
script and make it call gs with the parameter -sDEVICE=lj5mono. try that
out and see what happens.
I checked up the HP pages, it says it can understand PCL5 and above and
native postscript. lj5mono produces PCL XL code which should be ok. You
can also try sending native postscript, in your spool directory edit the
postscript.cfg file ( i hope you are running RH ) and set
GSDEVICE=POSTSCRIPT
Even I am having some printer woes. I have got a laserjet 2100M here and
trying to set it o ECONOMODE with PJL command ( thanks to jiju) but its
not working. That is also a PCL Xl printer so at the moment i am trying to
go through the ghostscript code to enable economode in the lj5mono and
pcxmono.

LIH is all for free speech. But it was created
for a purpose. Violations of the rules of
this list will result in stern action.
