i have installed RedHat linux 7.0 and i have an IDE
Yamaha CRW8824EZ cd writer. when i start xcdroast to
write cds, it tells me that no SCSI devices detected.
that is absolutely normal because i have an IDE
writer. further it tells me to enable SCSI emulation
in the kernel and only then i can write cds on linux.
how do i enable scsi emulation in the kernel. please
answer in a laymen's language. i am new to linux.

thanks

vivek
