My system suddenly refuses to boot. It asks for runlevel and doesn't move
further. After entering any runlevel it says :
INIT : Nothing left in this runlevel and stops. Has to be reset as
cntrl-alt-del also stops workign at this point.
It is red-hat 6.2 + win97. Linux boots from /dev/hda6
I tried this :
At the boot prompt
boot : linux single root=/dev/hda2 initrd=
---------
---------
then You'll get bash shell
Just see in the /boot partition if boot.0300 file exits.
if yes
# dd if=/boot/boot.0300 of=/dev/hda bs=446 count=1
# /sbin/lilo
#reboot
and now it is worst. It just reaches
LI and stops there.
Can someone help me out of this nightmare please ?
Peace, Force & Joy!
Sudhir Gandotra.
