i have got 2 scsi hdd which will finally be the mirrored root disks one ide hdd as temp root disk as u cannot install linux directly onto a RAID drive (also intel says so) an Intel SRCU21 hardware RAID controller red hat linux 6.2 i need to mirror the root disk using the RAID controller. i have upgraded to kernel to 2.2.16 loaded to appropriate i2o drivers available on the intel site. noticed that the kernel upgradation procedure in the intel site does not work. what happens is that the kernel boots with the 2.2.16 kernel but core dumps while detecting the i2o drivers. any similar past experiences. ??? suggestions / recommendations ??? mrinal. ---------------------------------------------- LIH is all for free speech.
