Hi!

Following is the excerpt from my /var/log/maillog. It seems that I'm masquerading OK,
as you can see, the smtp is using the IP address provided by the DHCP pool not my
private address!

---------------
Dec  9 20:43:43 scarlett sendmail[1826]: UAA01819: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
ctladdr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (500/100), delay=00:00:32, xdelay=00:00:08,
mailer=smtp, relay=mail.cjb.net. [216.234.161.170], stat=Deferred: 450 4.7.1
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Relaying temporarily denied. Cannot resolve PTR record for
203.200.165.223
----------------

So, there's something wrong with VSNL server. Is it standard or should I complain to
VSNL.

BTW, one more thing, is there an automated way to tell sendmail so that if it detects
a "Relaying denied..." kinda error, to do it with shart host option off?

Kalpana
