Before the recent fall of bandwidth, my browsing was fast enough ( 6K and
above according kppload), so i thought elliminating the lookup time
wouldnt be much of an improvement. During the $%#@ period i was about to
install a caching name server, but things improved again ;)

  But i will try and run it anyway atleast as an educational excercise.
And maybe wait for the next band width goof up. I guess one doesnt have to
wait long.... On the other hand when even a ping to ones ppp peer gives a
return time of 80,000ms with 70%+ packet loss, i doubt howmuch of a
mileage a dns would give.

  But for less serious failures it should certainly speed things up.
