thanks for the suggestion. Also i recieved an another pointer. That is to develope a 
sort of lin modem.

To brief on this. In many lap tops the telephone line can be directly connected to the 
system [ ap
ort this given for this]. To interphase this line with the rest of the system, lucent 
has provided a
chip. Since this chip provide the minimal interphase, while the rest of the work is 
done by the
software [driver]. Windows provides the driver and it is called a win modem. For linux 
the lucent
has released the ".o" of the driver and that to for the 2.2.12 version. So can we 
reverse engineer
it and try to give a .c driver for that.

please suggest on that.
