Please check the following links. As far as I know, there are no books on embedded
linux. Although one forthcoming book (the first article is extracted from) is
expected next year.
You can go through the manuals of several embedded linux flavours like embedix etc
and get a fair understanding.
The M-systems disk on chip linux installation guides are not all that good. I have
not worked on MPC860. If you have any queries on x86 based systems, I can provide
some guidance.
