The configure script for ALSA checks for the kernel version.
Get the source tar.gz of the Linux kernel. Unzip and Untar
the same. Configure the kernel for UR need by doing a
'make menuconfig'. Now UR ALSA configure script will run
thru without an error. YMMV ;-)

The Debian distro gives something called alsa-source_xx.deb
package which when unpacked & run with 'make-kpkg' of the
kernel-package_xx.deb is more easier. While installing the
alsa-source package, it asks for UR card make and U need
only compile in the required modules specific to UR card.
