I have debian linux installed. The printer test was so so but the command
cat testfile > /dev/lp0 works. I thought there might be a line feed or cr
problem with the test documents.
I then installed star office. I clicked on the printer configure button and
selected my printer. when I did a test one line was printed and dozens of
blank pages thereafter. I rebooted to stop the printer and it started all
over on the reboot without star office running. O'Reily's book gave the
command lpc >/dev/lp and it quit after one more page.
How does one configure the printer????
