Hi,
I have DHCP enabled in mymachine.Everytime I boot I find this is my
/etc/resolv.conf file.If I edit this file and give the nameserver IP
differently,I am still not able to ping.So I restarted network
by typing
/etc/rc.d/init.d/netwrok restart.
To my surprise I had
a new IP address and also the /etc/resolv.conf was revertd back to the
original one,that I stated before.This is the problem.The commands
nslookup and dig works perfectly.These comamnds are used for testing DNS
I believe.But the command ping www.yahoo.com does not work?Whereas the command
nslookup www.yahoo.com works.Please help
