Hi all,
I've installed squid-2.3.STABLE2-src.tar.gz on my RedHat machine,
having IDE 6 GB HD, PIII, 64 MB RAM . The installation was successful. I
was able to configure it properly and squid.conf file was properly made
with user restrictions.
I made the entry in rc.local
/usr/local/squid/bin/squid -z
/usr/local/squid/bin/squid -sYD
So that every time when I reboots it will start automatically.
Every thing worked fine for first few days then one fine day it didn't
get started. I tried to start mannually. For few minutes squid got run
and then automatically it got killed. I tried for several times and
finally I reinstalled squid itself. Then it started working for and
again the same thing happened after few days. Why is it happening ???
Can anybody help me out please !!!
I'm attaching my squid.conf file along with this mail
regards
Vinoos
