have you tried the "laserjet" device, this is a pretty generic driver and
should work as far as printing postscripts are concerned. In the HP's
specification pages I saw that this can  understand PCL 6 so any of the
laserjet drivers like lj4dith ljet etc should work. But i suppose you
would get best results with lj5mono or pcxmono ( both of which use PCL 6 )

use gs directly gs -dNOPAUSR -sDEVICE=lj5mono file.ps
or if you are using rhs-printfilters, go to your spool directory
/var/spool/lpd/lp? and in the postscript.cfg file put POSTSCRIPT=lj5mono
or any of the other devices you chhose to experiment with.
