Do you have to give seperate drivers for winme? or does it work as a 
standard modem ? If it does then your in luck your modem will work under 
linux.But other wise it is a "win" modem or software modem. Such modems do 
not yet work under linux, you need a hayes compatible modem. I think 
kernel  series 2.4. > (coming) will support winmodem till then u have to be 
contented using your modem with winme just the way I do!!!
