for redhat 6.2/7.0 to work with soundblaster live you dont have to download emu
drivers and compile it
red hat 7.0/6.2 works vanilla with sound blaster live card without
doing anything the driver is built in
look for the module which already compiled by
name emu10k1.o in /lib/modules/2.4.0-0.24/ and type insmod emu10k1
thats it
may be u have compiled the kernel without sound support if so re compile it
with sound support and put the emu10k1 as a module or buit in
