No. Mutt is a mail reader, not a news reader. There is a news reader
which is what mutt is to mail, and it is called slrn.

Anyway, There is a patch to mutt which supports NNRP reading which
I tried for some time, but didn't like it at all. I'd rather mutt be
the complete mail reader it is. If you need the patch, you can go to
www.mutt.org and try it out.

Thanks. :-)

Try (with different quote positions)

macro pager A '| /home/sandipb/mail2muttalias.py\n'

Older procmails needed a patch to understand Maildirs. I use sendmail,
procmail and Maildirs. Along with Courier IMAPd and Solid POP3d. Both
considered secure and with a code base that is audited a la OpenBSD.

> How does one make courier-imap authenticate from qmail assign file??

What does the assign file do? I use courier IMAP with PAM authentication
and it has worked so far. With a few of my own PAM modules. I use
sendmail, and I have found it to be the most adaptible SMTP server
available.

Please be a bit more explicit. You are welcome about questions regarding
sendmail, procmail, courier-imapd and Maildirs - so long as I can answer
them. Other questions are at the list's discretion. :-)
