it should be ok ... decrease the queue load average, increase the refuse load
average and see (by steps of 1)
you have to experiment ... but 8 and 12 sounds ok to me.
take a look at your /var/log/messages and /var/log/maillog (and also top / ps
-ef) to see if there are runaway / zombie processes, spam attacks etc.
