Guess what - I finally, made X server work on my Cyrix Media GX system
trying out a few combinations of different monitors, apparantly, my monitor
wasn't listed and neither did I know its sync rates.
There is a little bit of history on my hard disk RH 6.0 is running -
probably it had got some bad sectors so, sometimes, I have to run fsck
before booting. Now while, it switching over to X .. I can see a series of
things like '{Uncorrectable error}' and then X starts but the mouse won't
work.
Could this be since the HDD is having some problems ? However, when it
installed the X and asked if I could see the dialogue box and to click it -
it worked pretty well.
Any idea ?
