You can use the find command somewhat like this:

$find /dir <options> -exec rm {} \;

where options could be :
 -atime : to delete files which was _accessed_ that time ago.
-mtime : to delete files which were _modified_ that time ago

The find command is one of the most powerful and flexoble commands. Take a
look at the man page of find. At our production servers we use this command
regularly to delete files which have been modified 2-3 weeks back...

Hope that helps,

LIH is all for free speech. But it was created
for a purpose. Violations of the rules of
this list will result in stern action.
