I am trying to configure my 2 systems for SAMBA. 1 Linux box, and other
win98.
i would like to give the following command in my eth. card driver config.
/sbin/route add -net ${NETWORK} netmask ${NETMASK} eth0
(should be able to ping local network now)
gateway:
/sbin/route add default gw ${GATEWAY} netmask 0.0.0.0 metric 1
should i be configuring for gateway?
what should i enter for NETWORK?
also my /etc/networks file is empty.
my localhost name is: dummyserver
domainname is: myhouse
any one can help me?
