Addition to my previous post on the sam subject. Could one reason for the named process dying be:- name server 1 is running on a real ethernet address and a real IP name server 2 is on a virtual ethernet name server 1 needs to backup domain data to name server 2 from time to time This is where things are going wrong. There is no nameserver 2 in the real sense and hence named crashes.
