Hi,

The only problem with debian seems to be lack of deb files for some
applications. If I use alien to convert rpm's to deb than it works fine for
some applications. Now for some applications like zzplayer though the rpm is
converted, I can not run zzplayer. The only options now is to compile zzplayer
from sources. Will try that out tonight.

Say zzplayer requires smpeg and sdl libraries. However while converting
zzplayer rpm files to deb files it gives errors saying that dependency problem,
sdl, smpeg not found etc., though the new version of both is installed on
debian. Than I thought of converting both sdl and smpeg rpm's to deb and remove
the debian installed sdl and smpeg and than installed these converted debs.
But still I cannot run zzplayer.

Other than this. Debian is fantastic. apt-get, make-kpkg, modconf,
update-modules.. Coooll......

Regards
