You should download :

alsa-driver-0.5.9.tar.bz2
alsa-utils-0.5.9.tar.bz2
alsa-lib-0.5.9.tar.bz2

Unpack every archive and then eter (cd) into each directory and do:
'./configure'
'make install'

for 0.5.9 yopu don't need 'make'

WITHOUT THE QUOTES !!

then enter the drivers directory and do: './snddevices'

then edit your /etc/conf.modules or /etc/modules.conf (whatever you
have) and add the lines that I put in the small file attached to this
mail (before ypu do that is better to make a copy of con.modules file in
case things go wrong .....and make sure that you do not disturb the
lines already in the file)
.
then do: 'modprobe snd-ymfpci'
then reboot

then do:
'amixer set Master 74 unmute'
'amixer set PCM 74 unmute'
'amixer set CD 74 unmute'

That's it !! now you shoul be able to hear smth (try playing mp3 or
audio CD)

I'll send to your personal mail address a small howto regarding this.

good luck.
