this is a good question, the answer of which, i hope, will help all newbies
in the list, those who know only windows and want to migrate to linux.
my harddisk was messed up. it has two windows partitions and lots of famous
contemporary viruses resided in it. there was no program that wasnt
crashing. so i formatted the harddisk and installed qnx before installing
linux. then Archan and Saugatha came and installed it. the formatting has
made the installation smoother, i think. earlier i couldnt boot into QNX.
now i can, thanks to formatting. but without Archan and Saugatha, i could
have installed it somehow. but it wouldnt have worked. they took care of
each and every function, as i can see!
donation status: deposited Rs. 300 into my empty bank account. tomorrow
