I used to use this. Sadly, on a "heavy load" system, with several hundred
pieces of mail coming in (LI-*, a few other lists, official mail, personal mail
etc) procmail used as an MDA couldn't stand the load, and frequently died.

This is of course personal experience dating back to a couple of years ago,
when my home box was a P-200 with 32 megs RAM, and a fairly old version of
procmail (on SuSE 6.3). The problem went away when I upgraded to 6.4 (and
reverted to sendmail as the MDA) though. Whether it was au upgraded procmail
(the SuSE 6.3 procmail is _ancient_) I dont know .. sendmail just hands off to
procmail for final delivery anyway.
