Try zzplayer.
Though it requires some improvement before it becomes smooth & stable. But is worth a
trial. I'm using it with KDE 2.
But picture quality degrades in full-screen. Don't use the full-screen button on the
application window. Use the maximise button instead. The former might result in a
crash.
