I'm getting some strange messages from my Linux-based PC since the past
two days. It occasionally declines to boot up, and does so after
repeated tries. I had added additional RAM a week back.
Some of the messages it gives are:
- CMOS checksum bad
- Kernel panic. Attempt to kill the idle task in interrupt handler -
   not syncing
- Bad slab magic (corrupt) Kernel panic
- Processor changed. Please reselect CPU speed...
- Also does not shut-down clean, but sort-of crashes...
Any idea what could be going wrong? Kindly send your reply to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] as a cc.
Regards and thanks a lot for the help, FN
