I compiled the kernel 2.4.0, and when making menuconfig, put yes for agpgart
support, and M(odular) support for sound, and compiled it. after booting
through the new kernel I was able to get X server running, but when trying
sndconfig, it says the kernel isn't compiled with modular support for sound.
but I gave M for modular sound, during menuconfig. What's wrong?
