Hi Apurva:
a) X will work with i810 type motherboards.
b) A complete installation of Red Hat Linux 7 will take up something over 1 gb
og hard disk space [though it is of no use to do a installation of so many
packages]
c) Please remember that upgrading a kernel and upgrading from a distribution
(like RedHat 6.0 to RedHat 7) are two completely separate issues. One can
upgrade a kernel from time to time without upgrading the whole distribution.
This is considered a normal practice with Linux users. However, upgrading a
distribution would entail many different factors (compiler version, the
distribution vendor's tailor-made specifics, etc.) You must read up a lot
from the website before you do anything so that you can get a clear picture.
Hope you have fun with linux!
