Use modem to connect the location A and B over ppp. You can use dial up
modem in leased line mode (Read Leaseline HOWTO). Put the routing table in
place for both machine. (Binand one has given the solution)

Once ppp link is in place you have plenty of choice.
1. samba server if win clients.
2. mars_nwe netware server if only dos clients .
3. NFS server (best choice ) if both end have linux clients.
