It was almost a wild goose chase figuring out how to close the 6000 port
while using kdm. Isnt there any generic way by which we can start X with
my command line options ?
The kdm's kdocs have all stuff regarding the appearance/geometry of the
login widget but nothing on configuring the actual call to X.
So tried using the xdm feature itself. Hunting down one script after
another finally put the options in /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers. Ay other way of
doing the same...I think gdm has a conf file where one tweak these things
