Why? Those web pages are their owners' opinions, and they sure are
entitled to theirs'. They never forced you to visit their site; there is
no spamming angle here.

Well, I'd like to meet the IT managers who'd take information from a
hate site as authoritative. And take their visiting cards. And resolve
never to work for their firms.

That was from one of the humour sites (forgot which), and then someone
posted to slashdot. It even had a nice disclaimer saying if you don't
understand satire, then please spare us.

Mindcraft did - and the results were marked in Microsoft's favour.

Of course, Mindcraft's benchmarks weren't as independent as one would
have liked - the benchmarking tests were done as part of a Microsoft
funded project, in Microsoft's labs. I think PC Week ran those same
tests again and still the outcome was in NT's favour.

Take my advice - don't worry to much about this sort of thing. It
happens - after all, they are Americans - they still have a Flat Earth
Society there. :-)
