Hi everybody,
I installed RHLinux 7.0 in 2 scsi hard drives seperately. Finally I put
the both disks in one computer so that one is sda and another sdb.
I also
configured lilo.conf to boot from either of two disks. I thought that
the
second disk sdb to use as backup disk so that if any problem
occurred, i
could boot from the second one with all the configuration and
pages saved.
But what I saw is that, when I reboot the computer from second
disk labeled "scsi2" in lilo.conf, all the partitions it takes from sda
not sdb. So if there is any problem in any partition of sda, the
computer
will not take any saved information from sdb. Isn/t it?
Also when I tried to boot from the second disk only (removing the
cable from first disk) there is problem of booting. It shows only (L or
LIL) instead of LILO.
Can you help me? How can I use the backup disk to directly boot if
there is any problem in first disk?
