Hi folks
I've added a section on configuring exim for use over a dialup -
http://www.hserus.net/exim.html
This is the next in the series, after the sendmail and postfix howtos
(sendmail.html and postfix.html - all linked from
<http://www.hserus.net/pop_smtp.html> fyi)
Comments welcome. There are a few other things which _can_ be fiddled with
(retry / queue intervals) in all the MTA configs (depending on the frequency
with which you dial out), but this is the basic stuff I've included.
Oh by the way, my sendmail howto has been linked to from Claus Assmann's site
at sendmail.org - <http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/misc.html>
Will someone who runs qmail please send across a howto on using it over a
dialup? I'm a bit too busy to download and install qmail (and somehow,
I'm not very comfortable with it, I prefer postfix / exim / sendmail).
When this is added - and the howto is polished a bit, if some kind soul helps
me sgml-ize the text, we can send it across to linuxdocs I suppose. The
mail administrators howto there doesnt seem to be maintained right now,
still talks of sendmail 8.8 and 2.0 kernels, for instance.
