I have a problem regarding telnet to a Linux server (RH 6.2 PCQ). In
one of our labs at college, we have a server (a P III , 128 MB machine)
running RedHat Linux 6.2. We connect to the server using telnet (from Win98
boxes).
The problem is that it takes about a minute or more for the login
prompt to appear. Sometimes, we get a time out error. It cannot be due to
overloading of the network since the hub supports only 10 machines in all.
If anyone can suggest a remedy, it will be very helpful.
