use your installation CD itself to resuce your linux. boot with the CD, when it asks you to enter for installation or type some command type the following vmlinuz root=/dev/hda7 from your lilo.conf i see that your root partition is on /dev/hda7. This will bool linux and mount your root partition. then change the lilo.conf acc to your needs and run lilo.
