Is this any different from the vacation prog available in the sendmail source?
root@mjollnir:/usr/src/sendmail-8.12.0.Beta5/vacation> ls
Build* Makefile Makefile.m4 vacation.0 vacation.1 vacation.c
Hmmm... from their page -
http://www.speakeasy.org/~igorl/ISL/programs/source/vacation.html
It's a perl script ... and looks a bit neater than vacation.c (more features)
As Binand says, vacation sucks bad - the only thing worse is the autoreply in MS
Exchange ... too many lists have been bombed in the past by these.
Try this, Raghu ...
# The autoresponders directory is where the files
# to be sent in reply reside
FILEDIR=$HOME/autoresponders
SENDMAIL=/usr/sbin/sendmail
# This is the path to sendmail
:0 ic
* ^[EMAIL PROTECTED]
*!^FROM_DAEMON
*!^X-Loop: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
|(formail -r -A "Precedence: junk" \
-I"From: KCircle Auto Responder <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>" \
-I"Subject: Your mail to K-Circle" \
-A "X-Loop: [EMAIL PROTECTED]"; \
cat $FILEDIR/info.txt )|$SENDMAIL -t
Put the text of your auto-ack in autoresponders/info.txt
-s
