Hi,
Am new to Linux, been tinkering around with an old PCQ RH 6.1, 2.2.x kernel
While trying to get my printer(HP 710C) working, I read in the
Hardware-HOWTO that it is incompatible. Plus, having already tried almost
everything, I can vouch for that.
Is there any way out of this? Could it possibly work if I connected the
Linux box to a Windows machine, with the drivers for the printer installed
on the second machine, and the printer connected to the Linux machine?
On a theoretical level, it would be bits travelling from the Win machine to
the Linux machine, and then the Linux machine should just transfer those to
the parallel port, regardless of what is connected there.
On another note, how do I get Ctrl+Alt+Delete to make the PC reboot?
Thanks,
Kanwal
