I believe it depends on what parameters are being passed to netscape. My
preferences indicate that I have a default start page set and also
Mailbox Messenger should open up on starting Netscape. This worked fine
till I upgraded my system to Ximian Gnome. After that clicking on the
netscape button opens up the netscape browser with no start page and no
Mailbox. Although if I open another window - that window goes directly
to my start page.
