because it is not a normal file, it is a 'proc' file. operations on these
(proc) files (read, write, open, close, ioctl) are defined elsewhere
(differnet for each file) and these syscalls are not handled the way it is
handled for the normal files.

by the way are u trying to deltete the file just because it is occupying
unnecessarilly huge space on your machine?
