Hi,
I'm using RH 6.2. when I'm logging to the machine, I'm not able to execute "pine" or
"clear" command. When I saw echo $TERM it displayed "dumb"
I changed the term to vt100.
# export TERM=vt100
Then pine and clear started working. I don't know what happened previously and why my
TERM got changed to dumb. I want to set the default TERM which was previously. I don't
want to put the entry in .bashrc. Where I've to change for setting the TERM
environment variable to the default , when the system boots up ? If somebody can help
me please tell me what entry I've to give where to set the TERM properly....
