YM is not Free software (or even open source). So it will not be easily
feasible for any of us to tell you exactly how it works.
I suggest you look at the Free implementations of YM (jabber and
everybuddy) and figure it out from that code. Or else you might try to
sniff the traffic to cs.yahoo.com:5050 and figure out what you need
from that traffic.
