I compiled 2.2.16, got the bzImage and booted it. Works fine.But
when I run startx, it exits with the error
Symbol VBEInit
Symbol vbeDoEDID /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/i810_drv.o unresolved.
So, there are are unresolved symbols in the i810 video driver. What's the
cause? The default kernel installed along with the Suse installation
works fine with X running perfectly. Its version is also 2.2.16.
I think I may have left out something during the 'make menuconfig' step.
But I do not know what it is. If somebody can help, I shall attach the
.config file too.
